Best way for physical calibration (i.e. sensor units) of multichannel daq?

I have a vi to drive a custom build lab instrument sold on market. I would like to refine the unit calibration. Right now i do this as a constant on front panel (e.g converting volts to force). I would like to refine this as a multiparameter calibration for arbitrary number of channels. I assume I can do this in DAQ wizard (e.g. cubic fit , with 4 constants a0+a1*x+...a3*x^3). Is there a more natural programming way? Certain VIs? I have written a VI for this, but would like to check if there are already any prewritten routes...

If I use DAQ, where are the VIs to access the calibrations within VI, so e.g. I can print this is data file.

Dear Ennis,

There are Calibration VIs that come with DAQmx that you can take a look at, but I don't think they are going to help much because they are specific to NI boards, not custom built instruments. (All Functions>>NI Measurements>>DAQmx - Data Acquisition>>DAQmx Advanced>>DAQmx Calibration) DAQmx provides an easy way to interface with NI boards, but if that is not an option take a look at Scaling and Mapping under Arith/Compare. This will give you a good start. Have a great day!

Sincerely,

Marni S.
