Additional DAQ Recommendation

Hi,

I have an Intel P2.8 Ghz with Win2K as the platform with a PCI NI 6025E DAQ board already installed. This board samples an analog signal.  I would also like to sample simultaneously other digital signals and leave an option for analog signal sampling as well. Simultaneous analog sampling is not possible in this board from what I've heard and tried. I have a whole system of signal conditioning for digital and analog I/Os isolation (2050, 2062,5B01...) for the 6025E. Hence, I would not like the additional board to have to need all this isolation system.

Could anyone recommend me of a suitable DAQ board for these tasks, which has already isolated I/Os built in and a very easy connection set up to external peripheries ?

Hi Mic_Scale,

You are correct that the NI PCI-6025E does not have simultaneous sampling capabilities, the board multiplexes the incoming signals.  If you would like to so simultaneous sampling, then you should check out the S Series Simultaneous-Sampling Multifunction DAQ cards.

As for built-in isolation, there are M Series - Isolated Multifunction DAQ cards that provide channel-to-bus isolation.

If you need channel-to-channel isolation, you may want to look at the NI-PCI 6154, which is an S Series card.
