ATI force sensor mini 85 with Labview

Hi everyone,

I am trying to use ATI force sensor min85 with NI-USB 6211 following their supported VIs.

The information of the force sensor can be found on page C-65 and pin connections is expressed on page B-25 of the datasheet: http://phubner.eng.ua.edu/Files/ATI%20Force%20Sensors.pdf

When I excuted the VIs, there are some signals from force sensor are received. However, the value is not correct. For example, I pushed a 100 N in vertical direction but the value from program is just 60 N. In addition, the noise is very high by 10% as shown in the screen capture. Please let me know how to correct the value signals and reduce the noises from my force sensor.

Thank you so much for any insight

I'm looking forward to hearing from you

Mina.

What is dynamic range you need to read with the sensor?

Your dominant noise is 60Hz line interference, @ 10kSPS I would take the mean of 500 samples (3 line periodes) ..
or a more sophisticated filter 😉

For the scaling error: mixup imperial/SI units? Software?  Sensor setup?
