9235 module with ENET-9163 chassis

Hello, 

can I use a 9235 (strain gage quarter bridge) module with an old ENET-9163 chassis?
Is there any downside respect using the module with a new 9188 chassis?

Hello Roberto,

The 9235 is not supported in the 9163 carrier.  You can see a full list of the modules that the 9163 supports in this document

Hi Roberto-

To add to Jeff's response, no, there isn't any particular downside of using any supported C Series module in any of the current generation cDAQ chassis (as of the date of this post, all module support is consistent across cDAQ chassis except for the cDAQ-9172, regardless of bus).

If you get a chance to try out a cDAQ-9188 (or cDAQ-9181 or cDAQ-9191, depending on your needs on bus and number of slots) and have any particular problems, please feel free to post to this forum for advice.
