10401 Error occured at AI group config

I'm trying to use an executable file made from a vi that was written in Labview 7.1 on a comuter with a new PCI-6220 DAQ card.  I've installed the NI legacy drivers, but I am still getting and error.

10401 Error occured at AI group config

NI-DAQ LV:  The specified device is not a National Instruments product, the driver does not support the device (for example, the driver was released before the device was supported), or the device has not been configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer.

I've read some of the other posts regarding this issue, but have hit a dead end.  One of the knowledge base threads regarding this state that I need to reset my drivers in the MAX software:

Another possible reason you might be encountering this error is because you are attempting to use Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) Driver functions to communicate with your DAQ device, but the drivers need to be reset to use the device. To reset the drivers for Traditional NI-DAQ, open Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) and go to "Devices and Interfaces", then right-click "Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) Devices" and select "Reset driver for Traditional NI-DAQ." Keep in mind that this is only if you are using the Traditional NI-DAQ drivers. If you want to use the NI-DAQmx drivers with your DAQ device instead, right-click the device under "NI-DAQmx Devices" and select "Reset Device."

Unfortunately, when I bring up MAX I don't see "Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) Devices" under my devices and interfaces tab.  Can anyone offer any additional advice?

You cannot use that device with Traditional DAQ. It is only supported by DAQmx. In order to use that device, your program will have to be rewritten for DAQmx functions.

Do any of the M-series DAQs support the traditional NI-DAQ?

No. DAQmx is the driver for all M series boards. I don't think any more NI boards are being added to the legacy driver at all and haven't been since DAQmx was released. DAQmx was available for LabVIEW 7.1. What board did you originally use?

I would have to double check what board was used.  I got the executable from my collaborator who is running an older DAQ board and software version.  After looking through the vi and the various errors that come up, my initial impression is that it shouldn't be terribly difficult to fix.  However, I'm a complete newb at Labview programming.  Any suggestions for a crash course in Labview?
