The first thing I'd like to recommend, if you're a LabVIEW programmer, is to use our Motion Control hardware. We offer motion controllers, motor drives, and integration devices for third party motor drives. With that said, a motor's peak current value is specific to each type of motor. Most motor drives allow you to step down their peak current output to match a motor's peak current. With stepper motors, the more current you provide, the stronger their holding torque.
