how to hook up emergency stop to UMI 7772

I want to connect an emergency stop button to the Inhibit All connection of a UMI 7772. I have looked at the user manual and do not understand figure 28. It appears that I can use the Control Connector (for the appropriate Axis) to get the Fault +, Fault -, Viso and Ciso. If this is correct, where does the output come from? Figure 28 shows an arrow with no label. I am assuming that I would apply a signal to the Inhibit All pin on the Global Stop connector. In my application it is ok that braking/holding is not applied.

Hi elp,

I'm sorry that your question did not receive an immediate reply. Are you still having trouble with setting this up? If you are having trouble, there is a knowledge base article on connecting an Emergency Stop or Global Stop to a motion controller. There is some additional info on UMIs and emergency stop in the discussion forum found here.

I hope that information is helpful!
