extracting trajectory data as a function of time.

Hi, I am a new Labview user. I am trying to write a simple code in Labview 8.6 to control a stepper motor and do some profiling with a probe which is being moved by the motor. So far I have been able to control the motor but I cannot get the motion data while to motor is moving. For instance I need to know how many steps the motor has moved at a desired frequency while the probe is giving data at the same frequency. Can anybody help me please?

To make it clear I wanna plot the probe data as a function of position. So I need to know how many steps the motor has moved at each time also what value the probe is giving me at that particular time.

Thanks a lot

Payz,

What hardware are you using?  Do you have an encoder connected to get feedback from you stepper motor?  As well which motor are you using?

The documents below should help:
