What driver to be used for PXI-7324 in WinXP system

Hello all!

I have a PXI system with a PXI-7324 motion controller, the operating system is WinXP with Labview 7.0.

Initially I had Valuemotion installed and when I was looking in MAX the hardware appeared in the devices list, when I was trying out the hardware with the interactive fucntins I got an error message about pcmotion32.dll

I decided to upgrade my driver to MI-Motion 6.1.2 and the installation went fine but when I'm looking inte the MAX device list I do not see my hardware. After some reading I realized that the controller is not supported under NI-Motion 6.1.2.

My question is: is there a driver that I can use for the PXI-7324 under WinXP or do I have to replace the hardware?

WinXP is a requirement from out IT department.

Thanks

Hello Jaan,

To be able to use the PXI-7324 you should use the Valuemotion 5.0.2, but this driver isnt supported in WinXP so it would most likely not work in your system.

The Motion control R&D team is no longer releasing ValueMotion software, therefore the motion team will not make any revisions to the current software.

However the new PXI-7334/7344 (https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/model.pxi-7344.html) Controller meets the need for a low-cost motion controller, thereby replacing the entire line of ValueMotion products. So in your case the best option would be to change to the 7334/7344 controllers and use the NI-motion drivers.

Regards
