not much information about the stepper drive you are using right now. If you can confirm the way how to control the drive, then someone may be able to advise you. In my experiences, pulse command control is a common way to control a drive (either stepper or servo). the NI legacy pulse command board is 73xx series. But it is EOL... either you may find some in ebay, local vendors(they may have some stock) or trying google "motion LabVIEW". hope that helps
