With the correct motor, encoder, and drive, you can closely monitor and control the speed of a motor using the National Instruments motion controllers. Depending on the motion controller that you have, there will be a set velocity range that you can move the motor. For our 7340 series boards, they have a velocity range of 1 to 4,000,000 steps/s.
