Looking for stepper or servo with integrated controller/driver

I am looking for a stepper or servo motor that has an integrated controller/driver. This device will be controlled using Labview 7.1 over the RS232 or USB port.   I seem to remember a company with name that sounds like Anamatic.  My understanding is they have the patent on this concept.

Ideally the motor will be a frame size 23.

Is it possible to connect the RS232 port to a Parker/Compumoter Zeta 6104  Indexer/Drive and have Labview control  the motion?

The VI will be plotting motor position versus force.

The end user has requseted a portable system that uses a laptop.

Thanks

I have used the IMS MDrive Motion Control stepper/drive/controller with Labview.  I have also used Animatics servo version of the same concept.  Animatics makes a stepper, but I have never used it.  I can't answer your question about the Zeta 6104.   What will you be using for the force feedback?

Please ignore the Zeta question. I found out that is no longer an option.

Do IMS or Animatics supply Labview drivers?

Thanks for your help.

For this Neo, you must go to the Source:wink smiley

Will the SmartMotor operate with Labview commands?
Labview has the ability to communicate ASCII protocol via RS232 as a driver so the interface is compatible. The User can readily send down code strings in SmartMotor compatible commands.

Yes, it can be done. Hope the links help. I have used the Animatics Servo too, but not with LabVIEW.

No Labview drivers that I know of, but I just use ASCII commands.
