My second post for today! again, trying to learn more.
Again, 6+ years integrator, mostly Logix Designer...
I would love to play with pneumatic components, servos, encoders, etc... I have zero exposure to the motion control side of PLC programming. What would be the best sources for educating yourself? Are you able to actually practice and simulate motion control programming without having to buy the hardware?
If you were to practice with hardware, what would you buy that's affordable and fun to do off the clock?
I'm really interested in tinking with devices, but I wouldn't be using Allen Bradley or Festo products cause of the $$$.
