Integrating Advanced Microsystem's Control Program with labView

Hi all!! I recently purchased two motors and a motor controller (http://www.ams2000.com/productPages/dcps_MAX420.html) from Advanced Microsystem, and want to use them in a tensile-testing system controlled by LabVIEW. AMS has its own control program (http://www.ams2000.com/download_software.html). I am trying to write a program in the AMS program, but with input variables and the final controls in LabVIEW. Is that possible? And if so, any help getting started would be greatly appreciated. If not, what are the alternative methods?

Best, Katherine

Hi Katherine,

I'm not familiar with the AMS software. I was able to download it here and dig into it a little bit for you. It appears that the software has some dlls that you can call into LabVIEW. I'm not sure exactly what the dlls will output but it's definitely a place for you to start. I have included a link here that discusses how to call a dll into LabVIEW. Hope this helps!
