FlexMotion Command For Initialize

Could someone please tell me if there is a FlexMotion command for initializing a motion control card? I am using a PCI-7334 stepper controller card along with a MID-7604 4-axis driver power unit. In MAX, I can find a button for initializing the PCI-7334 card, so instinct tells me that there must be a command for performing this initialization down in the FlexMotion ".dll". I have searched through the list of FlexMotion commands, and I cannot seem to locate this command. ANy help that could be provided would be appreciated. Thank you.

The command you are looking for is flex_initialize_controller(). You should be able to find it in the NI-Motion Function Help.

Interestingly enough, I did a search of the "321943b.pdf" document that I had downloaded and was unable to locate a "flex_initialize_controller" command. I'll give this command a try. Thanks again for your help!

In fact the document that you have linked is from 1999. At this time this command wasn't implemented, yet. In the meantime we have renamed FlexMotion to NI-Motion and you can find all function descriptions in the helpfiles that you can find in
\Startmenue\Programs\National Instruments\NI-Motion\Documentation

If you search for manuals on ni.com please always make sure that you open the most recent ones. E. g. on the page that you have linked there is a warning that tells you that the manual might be out of date.
