DC servo motors compatibility with NI Motion Hardware

Hello All;

I would like to ask about the compatibility between 3rd party DC servo motors and NI Motion Control Hardware.

Are the DC servo motors (CMC 2640G or CMC 2640H) that are posted on the NI motor advisor page compatible with the NI PCI 7358 Motion Controller and the MID 7654 DC Servo Drive?

Hello Tarek,

the reason why we list these motors is the fact they they are compatible to the NI hardware components that you have mentioned. So yes, they are compatible. Unfortunately we are not very clear about this on the advisor page and there is even an error there as we reference to the MID-7602/7604 which are stepper drives instead of to the MID-7652/7654, which would be the correct choice.

I have forwarded these issues to our web team for correction.
