Why is .NET Languages Support Not Installable?

Hello --

I have included a screen shot of an error that we get when we try to install the .NET 2.0 Languages Support.  As you can see, there is a red icon and the user is not allowed to install that feature.  What has gone wrong here?  I need the .NET 2.0 Language Support to run my application.

Thank you --

Robert

Hi Robert,

This may be happening because Visual Studio Integration is selected under the .NET 2.0 Framework Languages Support tree. If this is selected, then the system requires Measurement Studio to be installed.

To fix this, expand the tree for .NET 2.0 Framework Languages Support and disable Visual Studio Integration. Then you can click next and you'll be able to proceed with your installation.

I hope that fixes it. You can see some more information about this here.

Regards,

Daniel H.

Typically the red circle with slash means that the component or a dependency of the component cannot be installed because a higher version is installed. In many of our installers, if you select the component with the red circle, it will provide you more information in the right panel about what conflict exists. Could you post that information. It would also be helpful to get a MAX technical report so that I can see what other software you have installed.
