Unable to determine the path for a LabWindows/CVI project file.

Hello,

I want to convert an existing LabWindows/CVI project to Measurement Studio Visual C++ project.

I'm using LabWindows/CVI 7.1.1, MeasurementStudio 7.1 and Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2003 (english) on a Win2000 machine.

Following the instruction:

1. In Visual Studio .NET, select File»New»Project to launch the New Project dialog box.
2. In the Project Types pane, expand the Measurement Studio Projects folder. Select CVI Projects.
3. In the Templates pane, select LabWindows/CVI Conversion. Specify Name and Location , then click OK.

Here the LabWindows/CVI conversion wizard stops with an error message:

'Unable to determine the path for a LabWindows/CVI project file.' ...

...although the directory and the LabWindows project file to be converted exists. I checked it several times.

In fact it sounds simple. Is there anything special I have to know?

Does this problem only occurs with your special project or with any CVI project ?

If it ony occurs with this project is there any special thing in this projeckt?

Hi Manuel,

this error occurs only with a special project which is developed under LabWindows 7.1. I already checked other existing projects under LabWindows 7.1 and 6.0 and they have been converted properly.

Meanwhile I think it is a special bug within that project although that project is working fine.
