Yes, the first App use NationalInstruments.Analysis.Enterprise.dll library. I should copy Analysis.dll .

It must be a stupid cuestion, but How can I know what libraries I need?. If I use an object from some National Instruments library I should copy that library with my App.exe file, Isn't it?

In this App I used components of Measurement Studio C++ Class library. I think this classes may be the cause of the exception but I don't known either how or why. Actually this problem isn't that important.

It can be difficult to know what to copy if you want to deploy your application via xcopy deployment. The recommended solution is to use Visual Studio .NET setup projects with your application and let Visual Studio .NET determine what merge modules to include with your installer based on what your application is using. The Measurement Studio merge modules include dependency .dll's as well as the assemblies. The first part (up to DUBUG:) of what you posted is the stack trace. The exception is originating from System.Windows.Forms.AxHost.CreateInstance. AxHost is the base class for ActiveX interop control wrapper classes. What ActiveX control are you using in your application? Is it one of the Measurement Studio ActiveX controls?

I have tried to use Visual Studio dotNET setup project, but as I explained in this post I get an error. I can execute the setup, but when it is installing files I get an error 2920 (about a source file not found, but I don't known which one). ell or that Visual Studio don't detect automaticly. But I don't know the problematic merge module, and what can I do to resolve the problem.

Which version of Measurement Studio are you using? Measurement Studio 7.1 includes native Windows Forms .NET slide and knob controls. For more info about Measurement Studio 7.1, see What's New in Measurement Studio 7.1. If you already have Measurement Studio 7.1, is there a reason why you're using the ActiveX slide and knob controls via COM interop rather than the Windows Forms slide and knob controls?

I am using Measurement Studio 7.0 , we have a Campus license and the last version of NI software release is Spring 2004. I think that we have Labview 7.1 but only Measurement Studio 7, is it posible?.

I hope to get Measurement Studio 7.1 with fall 2004 release.

Yes, that's possible. LabVIEW 7.1 was released last spring and Measurement Studio 7.1 was released in August. Hopefully the Fall 2004 release will have Measurement Studio 7.1.

Good News!!!

¡All the apps are running well now!

I have generate setup projects for all the Apps. I have had a lot of problems before, because when I tried to run the setup executables I get an error 2920. This error appears when I include in the application a reference to NationalInstruments.datasocket, If I remove this reference the error 2920 desappears.

The exception about COMinterop doesn't appear now, when I am using a setup project for deployment.

At the moment I don't need the NationalInstruments.datasocket library, if I need it in future I will try to resolve the problem.

The weekend would be better with the problems resolved.

There is a KB that describes a problem with the datasocket msms that were shipped with Measurement Studio 7.1. It has the updated msms you can you, in case you need to deploy datasocket applications.
