Due to a lack of hardware drivers I am working in Windows XP, trust me this doesn't make me happy.
I am developing in Visual Studio 2010 and have an application that runs fine on the dev computer
but not on the test computer.
NI-VISA 5.3 and runtime are installed. dotNET 3.5 and 4.0 are installed.
The VISA and VISA(64) show on the Dev system but not on the Test system
NationalInstruments.VisaNS.dll
NationalInstruments.Common.dll
NationalInstruments.Common.Native.dll
Do not show up in VS2010 add reference.
I am new to dotNET. But, it sure didn't seem to be this difficult under Python or VB-6
Anybody have some ideas as to what has gone wrong bewteen these two WindowsXP machines...
Could an available memory or processor speed affect the install of these .dll's?
Do I have to have the GPIB-USB plugged in for them to be loaded?
Thanks!

I found a couple of related forum threads that might hold the answer for you.
I would go ahead and download the latest NI-VISA driver that is compatible with Windows XP. The last version to be supported in Windows XP is 15.5.

When updating be sure to install the .NET support.
