NI-Device Standard Vs. NI-Device Plus for GPIB software emulation

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to use PC to PC communication via GPIB.
We plan on developping an application (main application) that utilizes the NI measurement studio (7.0) to communicate via GPIB with various lab peripherals (power supply, scope, logic etc'); I would like to emulate those lab peripherals, by programming a server who will receive the GPIB commands, parse them and return an appropriate answer to the main application (as would the lab peripheral).
I received previously an answer that the NI-Device is a good solution, my question is will the NI-Device Standard suffice, or is there justified need for the NI-Device Plus, since one software application will emulate numerous GPIB lab peripherals

Thanks,

   Gil.

Hi Gil,
Yes, you can emulate multiple address with 1 GPIB card with NI-Device, but you will need NI-Device Plus.  NI-Device ships with some examples, including a multiaddressing GPIB example.  Let me know if you have any questions or need any product information.  I will be happy to help.
