IMAQ 3D View...where's the invert?

Anyone notice the conspicuous absence of an "invert" in the IMAQ 3D view vi? In the vision assistant, it specifically says you can wire an invert to the vi, but there is none on the real vi in LabVIEW. I'd really love to be able to use the 3D graph, but good luck trying to display a 1024x768 in that sucker and get more than a 3 second refresh rate, even on the fastest computer available. So I'm left with the 3D view vi, and I'd really like to be able to utilize ALL of the options available and invert is a pretty useful visualization tool...if it was available. If it's not, then update the vision assistant, but if it is, then make it so, please. 😉

That's interesting, I hadn't noticed that and I think I'll create a product suggestion for that feature to be added to LabVIEW.  Where does it say that you can wire an invert to the VI?

If you go to Vision Assistant, open an image and select "3D View", there's a check box that says "invert". And actually, when I press "ok", nothing gets queued up in the script box. All other VIs apparently work, but for some reason now the 3D View doesn't. Perhaps the invert not being available to the LabVIEW vi is why? Anyways, there shouldn't be an invert option on the vi in the assistant if there isn't one in LabVIEW (though I'd like there to be).

I am not sure why there is not an invert option in LabVIEW and I am curious as to what how R&D will respond to the suggestion.  I don't agree that it should be taken out of Vision Assistant because it's not possible in LabVIEW; it doesn't hurt anything by having the option.  I was searching through old service requests and found one on this issue.  The Application Engineer did contact R&D about the step not actually getting added to the script.  The response was that the 3DView step is just for viewing purposes and therefore doesn't create a step. I'm going to also put in a product suggestion for this to be changed.
