Does learning to program in .NET help Labview programmers?

I am a labview programmer for almost 3.5 years now. I have started learning .NET these days.

I am new to the concept of .NET with labview. can someone help me understand the how much beneficial is it to learn .NET. for a labview programmer?

Thanks for being a loyal LabVIEW user!  Leveraging .NET may help in programming with the Windows SDK. Many Windows programming needs are already built-in.  Also, perhaps using an object-oriented language would help in understanding the object-oriented features in LabVIEW.
