weird problem in the application involving DMD and camera

I am using DMD to do the projection and use a camera to do the image acquisition. An image is acquired after the start of each projection. However, I found it seems that I need to introduce a time delay between start of projection and acquisition. And this time delay needs to be proportional to the exposure time, which does not make sense to me. For example, if the exposure time is 100ms, then no time delay is needed. If the exposure time is 500ms, then a ~300ms time delay is needed. I am not sure if any one had similar problem before... please help.... Thanks!

Could you please provide some additional details that might make this problem easier to troubleshoot? Is the time delay that you mentioned the delay between the projection and the start of the image acquisition? How are you acquiring the images (what software, what hardware, etc)?

Please clarify your question a bit so we will be able to help as best we can.
