Unfortunately, my company bought only the Vision Acquisition Software and IEEE-1934 drivers, not the entire vision package, due to price.  An NI vision applications engineer told us over the phone that was all we needed.

The lack of Vision 7.1 is currently preventing me from installing the "USB" (DirectShow) drivers.  I'm not sure the Vis. Acq. software will give me the functionality to run them anyways, even if I find a workaround to the install problem...

So now if I want to go the DirectShow route, sounds like I'm stuck with the 3rd party stuff... ?

It turns out the camera doesn't exactly follow DCAM, no real surprise I guess.  I got the SDK from the manufacturer, so hopefully I'll be able to wrap this up shortly...  So much for IMAQ...

Hi, I'm new here.  I saw the topic and I was thinking maybe some of you could help me.

I'm working in a project tha uses digital images processing, so I have to take images with a camera and compare the image that I took with the original a verify if there is a mistake.

Thank you for posting to the NI forums!  In the future, we ask that you keep the posts in a thread to topics relating to the thread.  If you have a new question, please start a new thread. 

What software are you using?  If you are using Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI), you can use the template, and golden template, or manually compare features.  If you have the Vision Assistant, you can perform similar  operations without coding it manually in LabVIEW.  Finally, you can program it manually in LabVIEW if you have the Vision Development Module (VDM).  Below are some links that should point you in the right direction.
