trigger pulse length and trigger functions

I was triggering a camera with a 10 Hz trigger signal and analyze images in LabVIEW.The HL triggered snap.vi can only go up to 3 Hz. the LL triggered Ring.vi can go up to 10 Hz but it will miss one frame of image every 250 frames. The trigger signal should be correct as I examed it with TDS5104 from Tektronix. How do those two trigger functions work? Especially in the LL triggered Ring.vi, is a buffer only one frame of image or some continuous frames of image? If it is the latter, does the vi take images during the length of a trigger pulse? Such as now my trigger pulse lasts 10 microseconds.

I found some information about the asynchronous reset mode, and I think it is what I need to get all the triggered(10Hz) images. Right? However I did not figure out how to set it on Measurement & Automation. I am using SONY XC HR70 camera and PCI 1410.

I think this thread is exactly what you're looking for.

You can also check out the camera page on NI.com for the camera you are using.

To be able to do Asynchronous Reset, the camera itself needs to be capable. To get it set up with our hardware, you'll need a special camera file to make the modification. You'll note that the previous camera we were discussing does have a camera file that works with Asynch Reset.

Are you sure your camera can support that feature? There is currently no camera file provided that can perform that for this different camera.
