supported cameras by imaq PCI-1407

Hello everyone,
I am using measurement and automation explorer to capture images from my camera and I have PCI-1407 fg card. I was wondering if I could find the cameras that are supported by 1407 frame grabber card. I choose RS-170 from the list of cameras since it is the standart and my camera is not on the list. The camera has interlacing scanning feature(http://zone.ni.com/devzone/conceptd.nsf/webmain/0C19487AA97D229C8625685E00803830?OpenDocument) so I am not really sure if the regular RS-170 is suitable for it. the camera supports RS-170 15750/60 hz. I can capture images if I choose RS-170 or NTSC.
Overall, this camera is not progressive or line scan. and I cannot capture images with area scan(interlace). I can only use RS-170. this causes me problems such as synchorization.

thank you

Hello,

The PCI 1407 supports the use of any camera that generates standard monochrome images in either the RS-170 (640 x 480) or the CCIR (768 x 576) video format.  This framegrabber also only works with cameras that generate 8-bit images.

I have included links to the product page for the 1407 and its user manual.

Single-Channel Monochrome Image Acquisition

IMAQ PCI/PXI 1407 User Manual

Take a look at those and let me know if you have any additional questions on this issue.

I have PCI-1407 too but my camera is IR-160 by Infrared Solution Inc.  It is 14bit A/D Conversion.  Does PCI-1407 support?

Hello Sitthichai,

The PCI-1407 will only support analog cameras that generate 8-bit images, so it sounds like the 1407 will not work with your 14bit IR-160 camera.
