single image by one hardware trigger

Setting camera parameters by Pylon software didnt give the desired result too. i tried both line 1 & 2 but didnt work all tries gave a continuous capturing

Then there might be problem in your camera I/O Board. Try to replace with other camera and check it what will happen.

Frank,
Have you tried using pin 3 or 4 on the camera?  The user manual for your camera references these pins as the input lines for triggering externally?

These are already the lines I use for external trigger

Hi Frank,

Have you been able to verify with a DMM that the trigger is actually sending a pulse?  Are you able to connect the camera directly to the computer and try to verify that the trigger is working?  Do you have another camera that you can try to set the trigger up on so that we can eliminate the camera as a problem?

Thanks,
Kira T

i tried using terminal block again and it takes two frames per trigger and that some how satisfied but it doesnt work the same when i directly trigger the camera from PLC

NOTE: output pulse from PLC to terminal block to make output from terminal block to camera

Hi Frank,

Can you post a screen shot of your settings in Measurement & Automation Explorer?  When you are triggering directly from the PLC, how are you wiring the system?  Are you able to verify that when you do not go through a terminal block you are producing a signal?

Kira T

i directly take PLC out to camera or through interface relay.

the plc out i program it as i wish and i verify it

So what is the exact signature of the signal that comes out of the PLC, versus the one that comes out of the terminal block? How high does the voltage go for each?

The PLC gives 24 DCV pulse its width controllable.

the terminl block gives 5 DCV pulse its width uncontrolled.

i lowered down the PLC voltage output by using resistor but didnt work.

Can you tell me what is the best hardware connection when i trigger the camera directly from the PLC?
