sequential image acquisition

Hello all,

I am trying to acuire sequence of images say 25 images in one sec and saving them to a file using LV 8.2 version. My camera PULNIX2013P has a frame rate of 25 frames/sec. I have attached a vi which is doing the job for me but  it is acquiring only 14 frames per sec. What is the reason for it. The attached vi was downloaded from ni website little bit modified.

Does the camera really acquiring images in sequence or it is skipping any images? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hey Viswa,

I have not personally used the IMAQsequence function before, but, having read the help file associated with the function, it does sound ideal for you application. However, it also raised an interesting point...

Why have you specified any values at the "skip table" input? If you wish to acquire at the full 25 frames/sec your camera is capable of, you should not be wiring anything to this input. I have copied the relevent information regarding this function below.

Skip table is an array containing the number of frames to skip before acquiring each buffer. Each element in the array specifies the number of frames to skip before acquiring the corresponding buffer in the buffer list.

Note  This parameter is optional. If you choose to specify an array for Skip table, the array must contain the same number of elements as the Images In array.

I imagine that if you either...

i. Do not wire anything to the skip table input

ii. Wire a numeric array containg (say) 25 elements holding the value of 0

Then there will not be any delay between the acquisitions.

I hope this has been useful to you,

Best wishes,

PS. Could you also post a link to the page where you downloaded this example vi? Thanks a million!
