Hello all,
I have been trying to write a vi to detect real time dynamic vibration of a vibrating object using PULNIX 2013P CCD camera with 50 frames/sec. I am using PCI-1407 frame grabber and LV 7 version. I also attached an algorithm written in MS word. please kindly have a look at it and also attached my trial VI. My problem is i am unable to configure single buffer there are vi's available to configure buffer list but i dont know its storage time between each frame and location of the buffers. I want to store intially 3 frames in 3 different buffers with time delay of 1/50 of a sec between 3 of them then after 3rd buffer should update itself every 1/50 sec. This updated frames should be passed to subsequent frames. finally subtraction 2 frames will dispay fringes in real time. Please help me out .......i am completely lost.....

Hi,
Many thanks for contacting the National Instruments forum. Unfortunately we do not have the sufficient resources to write complete applications for customers. If you do require this service, may I suggest contacting one of our alliance members at www.ni.com/alliance/ who will be able to help you with implementing your algorithm.
With regards to your acquisition, could you not use a grab function and then for every iteration of the loop write to a buffer? Also, are you using a Windows OS? As this is not a time deterministic system this will affect the results depending on how busy the processor is.

Hi Mike,
i am using windows OS only. I am using also LV versions 6.1 and 7.0 which were installed in the same PC. I did not have GRAB vi in IMAQ 2.5.4 and in vision 6.1. So i was trying to write vi using extract buffer and etc.....Thanks for your valuable information about alliance.....i will look into it.
regards
