read barcode

I am reading 1D Barcode using vision IMAQRead Barcode.vi.

 I have set the ROI to read as in blue of attached image.

If the image captured as in pass.jpg I am able to read barcode. if the image is as fail.jpg the barcode is not read.

Barcode type is interleaved 2 of 1

how to read this barcode.

Is this the full resolution image?  If it is, your resolution is probably not high enough.  To read the barcode, you need one or two pixels per bar (and space).  It looks like your barcode is right on the limit.  Try increasing the resolution by moving your camera closer or changing the lens.

I attempted to reproduce the issue within Vision Assistant.  Vision Assistant was able to read the barcode in either example image equally well.  Attached are screen shots taken of the fail_N.jpg and pass_N.jpg being read under Vision Assistant.  Please explain more about the issue.
