multi-camera switching.

We use 7 cameras to acq image one by one then display the image to one window. Sometimes when we acq image from next camera we don't get the image,we don't know why.

You didn't provide much information about how you are acquiring the images, what speed you are trying to acquire at, how they are connected to the computer, etc. Without more information, it is difficult to answer your question.

I assume you are using two IMAQ boards with four inputs each. The most likely problem is that the four cameras on a single board are not synchronized. If you run wires between the cameras so that they use the same VSYNC signal, they will all start sending an image at the same time. This way, when the card switches between cameras, it maintains the timing of the video signal.

Hi,

Please take a look to the document named Multicamera Acquisition which is a tutorial in the Development Library that explains the process of connecting multiple camera, acquiring images and configure them, it also has an example code. Please follow it and if this does not resolves your issue you may want to contact us directly at www.ni.com/ask or keep posting here the results with more details from the hardware, software, etc. Thanks and good luck!
