invalid image type error???

hi,

i'm using function 'IMAQ ROI profile' and have an error 'invalid image type' , so i try to use functions extract color planes and extract single color plane to make the input image to function 'IMAQ ROI profile' since its input have to be 8-bit image but i still experienced an error 'invalid image type' in both functions 'extract color plane'. what is the cause of this error?? and how to solve this problem??(i acquired an image from the camera and save it in .bmp format)

which image type have you connected to the image type parameter of the IMAQ Create function?
Have a look on the attached example (Edge Detection Example.vi)
