how can i identify motion from an avi file

 i want to know whether i can count the no of time my hand moves forward and backward from the captured video

if yes how please help me on this

Vision Development Module 2010 contain several motion estimation algorithms (optical flow) that you can use for that purpose.

thanks for your replys i am intrested to identify human body movement such as belly movement or hand movement

i have ni vision 2009 and labview 2009 can i do it with these resourse or i need more thank you
