different calculation between vision 6.1 and 7

Hi there,
I've made an particle analysis in vision assistant 7 and searched for the perimeter of a special particle. If I do the same procedure with the same picture in vision builder 6.1, there's a different value (This one is larger than the value in Vision 7).

Does anyone know, what changes in calculating the perimeter have been done between those 2 revisions? Or could there be other reasons for different solutions?

Vision 7.0 introduced "IMAQ Particle Analysis" which replaces "IMAQ Complex Particle". "IMAQ Particle Analysis" uses a different algorithm to calculate the perimeter that is generally more accurate than that used by "IMAQ Complex Particle". If you could post an image containing the particle in question I would certainly like to take a look at it.
