connecting SCA1390-17gm to NI EVS-1464RT

how do I connect a Basler sca1390-17gm to a NI EVS-1464RT controller? I am having trouble setting up the communication between both.

What version of LVRT are you using? If it is an older one, the best way would be to configure the secondary port for a static IP address in the 169.254.x.x. This matches the link-local range that the camera should default to without a DHCP server. If you have a newer version of LVRT (I think starting in 2013, maybe) you can configure the secondary part for DHCP/link-local addressing (LLA) directly and so it will get a correct IP automatically.

Hi Eric,

just to make sure, you are refering to labview runtime correct? if thats the case, I was looking in the measurement and automation explorer and it had several versions (shown below) so I'm guessing the latest one I have is the 2011 SP1.

labview 8.5.1

labview 8.6.1

labview 2009 SP1

labview 2010 SP1

labview 2011 SP1

as far as configuring the 2nd port. I had read about that and the IP, but could not find where to actually do that.  What I was trying was going through vision builder (version 2012 i believe) and congifuring the target, but could never find anything about the 2nd port through that 😕 and yes I do have it connected to the 2nd port on the controller.

Thank you,

Chad
