cannot save image from MAX

Hi, I installed a new IMAQ PCI card and connected it to a camera (Pulnix TM-1040). It seems to work quite well since I can acquire images and look at them through the Measurement and Automation Explorer. However, when I try to save the image, the resulting file (PNG format) is completely black. Does someone knows a possible cause for this strange behavior ??

I am not quite sure but I think you can use these camera in 8 bit and 10 bit mode. I suppose you configured the camera to output 10 bit. If you save images MAX places these 10 bit images in 2 bytes. Most third party software are only read 1 byte (the dark part of the image). I recommand to configure the camera to output 8 bit or use your Vision Development Module installed in your development environment to read the image. If you use the Vision Functions to save images you can shift the bits before to get a good image in you third party software.
