Why does a 1394 camera cause an internal error in MAX

I evaluating a IEEE 1394 camera system. I've installed the IEEE board, found the camera as an IMAQ camera and launched MAX. When I click on Devices it takes about 10 minutes to show the devices. Then when I click on the camera it takes about 10 minutes to respond. When it does is comes up with an error message saying Internal Error. I've tried this on a couple of PC'sm, but I get the same response. What should I do?

Fridge,

Are you using NI-IMAQ for :IEEE 1394 Driver Software for FireWire Cameras. This is the driver that NI developed to use with 1394 cameras. If you are using the driver, what version do you have? What 1394 camera is it? The long wait is not expected behavior.

Hello! We also have a basler A102F (black and white) and I think the similar problem. It works with 8 bit only and scalable image, not with 16 bit. I spoke with a technichian at the Swedish NI office yesterday and he will look into it. But it takes not 10 minutes to get a contact with it!
