What are the Solutions for the 3D vision's high precision dimensions measurement about large size object?

Hi,In my vision project the measurement object is a bit large(160mm*80mm),we should measure the object's outline dimensions and the dimension precision is 0.02mm,Has anyone done any project like this(large size and high precision)?What your Solution? I am trying Image stitch(multcameras).

160 mm / 0.02 mm = 8000.  Your Image needs to be (at least) 8000 x 4000 = 32 M pixels.  Most video cameras seem to be an order of magnitude lower pixel size than this.  While you could try to "stitch together" multiple images, you would be trading a single-image-resolution problem for an image-alignment problem.  Basler seems to make a few cameras that should give you 0.05mm precision-- you might find others.
