Vision Builder and Compact vision System

Hi,
I've a quality inspection problem that I solved with Vision Builder AI. I also need to communicate by digital I/O with the PLC to send the inspection result.  I  was thinking  to an indtutrial pc with a firewire card, CF hard disk, etc.... but, along with the runtime VBAI license and NI imaq IEEE driver
it will be as expensive as the Compact Vision System in the base format. Sure The industrial PC will be faster  (but not real-time), but I don't  need speed  in this application. So the question is:  If  I  decide to use the CVS, can I install di vbai file directly to it, or I have to export it in labview (so pay for the labview license)? I have to pay for th cvs itself, and for the vision builder, or I have to pay for driver and runtime licences too?

You can target your CVS from Vision Builder. In the VBAI splash screen simply select your CVS as "Execution Target" and your VBAI script will run on the CVS. You will also need the "Signal accessory" (it is simply a breakout box) for your CVS for wiring your IO to and from the controller.

Hi all,

with the last version of VBAI 3.0 you can install only the run-time engine and so you can save some money.
