Does anyone have any sample code in CX-Programmer to communicate with a CJ1M over TCP?

I think I understand what I need to do in VBAI but unsure on PLC side.

I'm afraid I can't be of much help regarding PLC communication, but the Vision Builder for AI (VBAI) TCP I/O steps are well-documented in the help file, which you can find in Windows systems at Start » Programs » National Instruments » Vision Builder x.x » Documentation » Vision Builder AI Configuration Help. Within there, browse to the category Configuring Inspection Steps » Communicating » TCP I/O.

It's possible some customers here have some experience working with CX-Programmer, but have you also tried finding some forums specific to PLCs, or especially any specific to Omron controllers?

Got it. Used built in TCP function blocks in CX-Programmer. Turned out to be pretty easy

Is anyone have the command syntax about link Omron PLC with LAN?

I can use RS232 to read DM, but I don't the command for LAN.

Hi Jean

With a LAN connection you should be able to communicate with TCP/IP. You should also consider contacting Omron for any protocols or function commands that you need the PLC to run.
