Using an Intel network card instead of NI PCIE 8233 Vision Frame Grabber

If the NI PCIE 8233 Vision Frame Grabber goes wrong, can I use a "basic" Intel network card with the right driver (NI GigE Vision Adapter driver) instead? If I know well this PCIE card is just a NIC card with an NI driver and license.

Maybe someone knows which Intel network card is the equivalent of this PCIE card? Or what do you recommend instead?

I do not have an exact model reference to provide, but I suggest you look for a intel i350 based board with PoE feature.

Yes, you can. You will still need the Vision Acquisition Software from NI.

I'm currently evaluating something similar because I'd like to move to a 5GigE camera but NI doesn't offer 5GigE cards. I found a card from another vendor (with PoE) and will be testing it next week
