Using IEEE 1394 for IMAQ in Visual Basic .Net

How do I call functions such as imaq1394SnapCW from Visual Basic .Net? niimaq1394.dll is included in the reference, but none of the imaq1394* functions are available. Everything works when used with VB6.

Hello.

Unfortunately, using Visual Studio .NET is not officially supported with the current IMAQ for 1394 driver (v. 1.5.x). In NI-IMAQ and IMAQ Vision, we have been able to successfully able to use the ActiveX controls for acquisition and basic analysis, but there are many complications related to making the function calls.

I apologize that we do not currently have any support.

Marc,

Thanks for your post.  NI-IMAQ for 1394 ver. 2.0.2 does support Visual Studio .NET with the newest version of the hardware driver (there are shipping examples located at "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-IMAQ for IEEE-1394\Examples\MSVB.NET").  NI Vision Development Module 8.0 (our analysis software) also supports Visual Studio .NET (there are shipping examples located at: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Vision\Examples\MSVB.NET).

Thanks,
