USB 1.1 Machine Vision Interface?

Are there any drivers available to use a web cam USB 1.1 with labview vision?

Blankman,

National Instruments does not have a driver available that would allow you to bring images from a USB web cam directly into LabVIEW. There may be a third party driver that provides this type of functionality for LabVIEW, but I am not currently aware of one.

National Instruments does have a driver available for purchase that would allow you to bring images from a Firewire (IEEE 1394) web cam into LabVIEW. You can find out more about this driver by visiting its product page, linked below:

Having said that, I would like to point out that if you are using the IMAQ Vision Module for LabVIEW, these Vision tools have the ability to process any
image, not just those acquired through NI-IMAQ or NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394. You could easily use the software that you have for your USB webcam to capture and save images, and then bring the images into LabVIEW and process them using the tools from the IMAQ Vision Module.
