Hi,
I am currently using Prior Proscan Controller for my microscope. I need to store many (x, y, z) stage coordinates in my experiments and get to the coordinate position whenever I want. I am wondering what i the best way to store the coordinates? Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Han Yen

Hi Han Yen,
How are you currently interfacing with the stage controller in software? I imagine you are getting the stage coordinates from the built-in encoders, but your ability to store this data will greatly depend on the software platform you're using.
Thanks!

Thank Greg. I just managed retrieve it from the built-in encoder using the Prior library and store it using build array. Also managed to retrieve the stored coordinates using the index array.

That's great Han Yen. Out of curiosity, where did you get the Prior library? That may be helpful for other users trying to interface with the same hardware.
Thanks!

Hi Greg,
Actually the representatives from Prior told me that they don't have any labview library. But they do have some labview examples available on their website. Anyone should be able to download from there. Here is the link http://www.prior.com/downloadcentre/documents/software/LabviewExamples.zip

Supposedly I was told a customer made th examples, this seems to be packed up by there less than ideal operation.

It's probably less ideal. But it can be served as a good illustration for a start. 🙂
