Run other VI (program) on CVS

Hi,

I have succesfully run a VI as a standalone application on my CVS and it gave me all the output that I required through VGA port. Next step is I am thinking to add another VI or SubVI to the first VI. I want this SubVI run and stop based on my input selection. Is it possible to give an input (like push button) from the CVS through serial port.?

You can pass the input via serial through the serial port, or go the easy route and use one of the general purpose I/Os on the CVS. These are easily accessed via the IMAQ I/O functions that are installed with the NI Vision Acquisition software.
