Attempted to collect data with an NI PCIe-1437 Camera Link frame grabber in 14-bit base mode using a EDT RCX VisionLink Camera Link fiber extender pods. First got the system working using a standard copper cable. Then replaced the copper cable with the fiber optic pods, using 1 meter MDR-SDR M/F camera link cable at the ends. The fiber receiver at the frame grabber end was operating at the max 85MHz clock frequency. The acquisition software grabbed one frame (that looked ok) and then timed out waiting for subsequent frames. When we tried the same setup (camera, cables, fiber pods, fiber, PC, application software), but changed out the NI PCIe-1437 for an older NI PCIe-1433 card, the system worked. Any ideas on why the 1437 card had a problem, and more importantly how to get it working?
