PCI1424

Dear my friends;

I am using the IMAQ2.6,PCI1424,Labview 6.1 to capture laser image and I want to save the image to disk and display it in  the front panel using graph or other tools. But I can not save the image to disk and display the image. Does somebody be kind to check my program and provide some information. Any suggestion is appreciated. the attachment is my file.

thanks

Hi,

First, are you sure that your image is 8-bit image? If not, then you will be not able to save this image to BMP and display it by using 8-bit output array from IMAQ to Array.

Second - are you able to get image in MAX?

In additional, did you have IMAQ Vision Development Module installed? If so, then you can use Vision Image Display insead of graph - really better.

Finally I would like to recommend to use examples from \National Instruments\LabVIEW x.x\examples\IMAQ - there are lot of good examples how to grab images (In your VI you don't need to call IMAQ Create in for-loop, you should call IMAQ Close at the end, etc.)

best regards,

Andrey.

yangshanglu,

 I hope your thanksgiving was nice.  As far as the function to display the image, it is located in the Front Panel palettes, not on the Block Diagram.  Right click on the Front Panel to bring up the controls palette, go to All Controls, then to Vision, there are Image Display controls in that sub-palette.  Also, as far as the examples sometimes when you install the different modules (including Vision) it will ask you what versions of LabVIEW you want Vision to support.  If that is not set up correctly they will not show up in the example finder, but you can find them if you browse to them in your file structure -- they would be somewhere similar to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6.1\examples\Vision.  Let me know if you have anymore questions!
