I am using a basler 403k with a PCI-1428 camera link interface. It works fine in free run modes. I have a trigger signal that I want to use to control the ExSync camera control line to acquire images. I am amazed how little documentation there is for implementing external triggering. It appears to be straight forward except that external triggers cannot be directly connected to the CC1 camera control on this card. I cannot find any documentation that explains clearly how the card controls the CC1 control line. There is information, but it is confusing, and scattered over several documents. Surely it is not difficult for NI to provide this information in the documentation for the card.
The camera can be set for ExSync triggering in three modes. Level control means that the exposure is controlled by the low period and frame rate by the trigger period. Edge control means that exposure and frame rate are both controlled by the trigger period. Programmable means that the exposure is controlled by internal registers. Anyone got any ideas how I can control the camera in ExSync programmable mode with the TTL signal triggering each frame. i am actually trying to implement the multi AOI feature of this camera where a sequence is triggered by the trigger signal.
