As part of my companies software quality procedures I have to create and carry out a formal test process. The Labview software I have written has a record mode during which it logs imag files and test results and a play back mode when these files can be reprocessed and replayed to check for any process anomolies. The image grabber I am using is a PCI-1422. As part of my software test process I am trying to avoid having a camera but need to test the software capture functionality. Does anyone know if you can get the PCI-1422 to generate an internal test image of any type or at the driver level get the driver to provide a test image. This would allow me to perform my test without any modification to the Labview code and without needing a camera. Although I have simplified my decription of the camera, it is much more difficult to get one of these from our production line than it sounds and requires a whole pile of equipment to run it, hence my request.

Hi HarveyG,
Unfortunately, the 1422 does not have any facilities to generate a test image.

It wouldn't take much modification of your code to open an image from disk if you wanted to be able to run it in a 'test' mode would it? Let me know if I have completely missed the point!
